I wanted to try growing some lillies in a pot, the books, internet and garden centre all basically said the same thing, 'buy the largest bulb you can afford and you'll get the best, most, and largest flowers.' So I bought one bulb at the £1 shop!
I think as long as anything (or anyone) is fed well, nurtured and told how loved it is, that's when it's ready to be its best self.
The results speak for themselves...
